Bolivia ranks among South America’s leading gold producers, with gold representing one of the nation’s most strategic and valuable mineral exports. In 2023, gold exports surpassed US$2.5 billion, accounting for nearly half of the country’s total mineral export revenues.

Gold Prime Resources is leading the development of Bolivia’s first world class gold refinery, a landmark industrial initiative designed to elevate the country’s participation in the global precious metals value chain.

This transformative project will expand national processing capacity, enable the production of internationally certified gold bullion, and create greater value from Bolivia’s mineral resources through advanced refining technologies and integrated commercial services. By strengthening the domestic gold industry, the refinery is projected to double the long-term economic contribution of the gold value chain, increasing export revenues, generating highly skilled employment, expanding fiscal income, attracting investment, and establishing Bolivia as a regional leader in precious metals processing and industrial innovation.
